[ARCHIVED] Package Delivery Scam

Package Delivery Scam:

Earlier today we received a report of a white Nissan Sentra parked in front of a residence.  An Officer made contact and identified the male occupant who was then moved along from the area.  A short while later packages arrived at the residence, the intended recipient does will not live there.  The packages were addressed to the earlier vehicle occupant.  The homeowner refused delivery and the packages will be returned to the original shipper. Generally, with this type of scam the recipient will be somewhere in the area waiting for the delivery.  If you see a parked vehicle in your neighborhood you do not recognize, or one driving by multiple times, please call us.  If you should receive a delivery at your address which is not addressed to anyone in your family we suggest you refuse the delivery and notify us.
